Sligo Rovers unbeaten start to the new League of Ireland season came to a shuddering halt on Saturday evening as they were beaten 1-0 by bottom-of-the-table Derry City.
Will Patching's penalty early in the second-half proved to be the matchwinner - a result which gave new Derry manager Ruaidhri Higgins the perfect start to his new tenure.
Rovers were out-of-sorts for much of this game and their cause wasn't helped when they lost defender Robbie McCourt at half-time through injury.
Manager Liam Buckley made several second-half changes to try and find an equaliser, but Derry held on for a deserved three points.

The win was their first of the new season but they remain bottom of the table, albeit level on five points with Longford Town.
