Sligo Rovers to allow 50 supporters attend home matches

Sligo Rovers have confirmed that 50 supporters will be permitted entry to upcoming SSE Airtricity League home matches.

Rovers return to league action on Friday away to Derry City - a game that will be live on Ocean FM Sport - before home ties against Waterford (Tuesday) and Shelbourne (Saturday).

With crowd restrictions still in place due to Covid-19, Rovers say that 50 supporters will be able to attend home games. This is to stay in line with the limitation placed on outdoor gatherings, with 200 people the maximum allowed.

The club say that players, management, officials from both sides and match night stewards will total approximately 150.

The tickets available will be distributed, via a random draw, to season ticket holders who apply through the application process.

Sligo Rovers CEO Colin Feehily explained the process to Ocean FM Sport:

Meanwhile, Derry City today confirmed that Friday's meeting at the Ryan McBride Brandywell will take place behind closed doors.
