Sligo Rovers SSE Airtricity League Premier Division clash with Waterford, scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, has been postponed due to a Waterford player displaying Covid-19 symptoms.
The announcement of the postponement on Monday morning said that the Waterford player in question has suspected symptoms of the virus, and would undergo a Covid-19 test.
The league also says that the player did travel with the squad to their game against Shelbourne - Rovers opponents on Saturday next - but did not play.
Sligo Rovers had resumed their league campaign with a 2-0 win over Derry City last Friday evening, while Waterford were 1-0 winners over Shelbourne on Saturday.
