Sligo Rowing Club enjoys medal haul at national indoors

Sligo Rowing Club brought home six medals from the recent National Indoor Rowing Championships, held at the University of Limerick.

The indoor championships happen on stationery indoor rowing machines for both junior and senior competitors.

They race a mixture of timed and distance pieces - and the championships also include relay races.

Sligo had a fine weekend in Limerick with Euan Craddock winning silver in the J13 event - as did Clare Walsh in the J14 race.

In the senior races, there was also a bronze medal for Sligo's Caroline McGee - in the senior women’s 2000m.
