There was double disappointment for Sligo's two finalists at this week's All-Ireland U16 schools basketball league finals at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght.
Summerhill College lost the boys U16 'A' decider on Wednesday to an impressive Castleisland Community College from Kerry, 75-43.
Summerhill trailed by four points at the end of the first quarter- and were 10 points down at half-time.
However, the third quarter was when Castleisland did the real dammage, outscoring their opponents 17-8 to move well clear.
The day before (Tuesday), there was heartbreak for St Attracta's Community School, Tubbercurry, as they lost the girls U16 'C' decider to St Flannan's (Clare) in overtime, by a single point, 41-40.
