Holders Coolera/Strandhill and St Molaise Gaels will have to meet again after Sunday's Homeland Sligo senior championship final finished in an exciting draw, on a final scoreline of Coolera/Strandhill 0-9 St Molaise Gaels 1-6.
Molaise, seeking to win their first ever senior title, had a dramatic late opportunity to win the game when they were awarded a free-in 40 metres from the Coolera goal.
With added time almost up, team captain Alan McLoughlin (who collected the Player of the Match awarded) opted to play the free short to midfield team-mate Joe Keaney.
Keaney promptly fired the balll over the bar from distance for what looked like the winning score - but match referee Michael Duffy had already blown the full-time whistle before Keaney's shot went over the bar so the score didn't stand.
Listen back to how the Ocean FM Sport commentary team of Colm McGee and Willie Gormley described it.
The replay will be next Sunday (Nov 3rd) at Markievicz Park.
