Sligo's push for promotion from Division 4 of the Allianz Football League gathered further momentum on Sunday with a 1-20 to 3-8 victory over Wexford at Markievicz Park.
The six-point winning margin flattered the visitors somewhat as a late goal brought them closer to Tony McEntee's side in the closing moments.
Sean Carrabine scored seven points in an encouraging Sligo performance which sees them move onto eight points at the top of Division 4, headed only on scoring difference by Laois.
Sligo have two games remaining, both away, against Carlow on March 18th and against Leitrim one week later.
