The Sligo senior women's rugby team made a winning start to the new season on Sunday with a 45-0 victory away to Corinthians in the Connacht Invitational Cup.
Head coach James Bowes gave several players first competitive senior start in Galway.
Sligo are in a four-team Pool B in the season-opening Invitational Cup which also includes Tuam/Oughterard and Our Lady's Boys Club (OLBC) from Galway.
They next play Tuam on Sunday (Sept 18th) in Strandhill at 1pm.
