Sligo Rovers academy player Ava Hallinan came on as a second-half substitute in Thursday's 3-1 victory for the Republic of Ireland girls under-16 soccer team, against Switzerland.
The international friendly, which was played in Spain, was the first of two games between the teams - they will meet again on Saturday.
Switzerland took the lead in this game but Ireland responded with three goals from Ruby Morrison, Ciara Milton & Halle Harcourt gave Ireland a 3-1 success.
Hallinan came on for Milton in the 81st minute to get her first taste of international football at this age grade.
She grew up playing soccer for Kilglass/Enniscrone Utd, captained the Sligo/Leitrim U14 Gaynor Cup winning team last year, and graduated to the Sligo Rovers academy in recent seasons.
At 14 years of age, she made her senior debut for Sligo Rovers in a pre-season game against League of Ireland champions Athlone Town a couple of weeks ago.
