Sligo Rowing Club's Brian Colsh and team-mate Konan Pazzaia have qualified for the final of the men's double sculls at the World Under-23 Rowing Championships in Italy.
The Ireland duo finished third in their semi-final on Thursday behind Belgium and Germany to qualify for Saturday's 'A' final in Varese, Italy.
Colsh (pictured left) and Pazzaia went out hard from start along with pre-race favourites Belgium, and the Ireland boat was second at the half-way stage (1000m).
Germany came through strongly to overtake the Irish boat in the third 500 metres but the Irish duo withstood a late charge from the Czech Republic in the closing stages to finish third and qualify for the final.
The top six on Saturday will also include France, Moldova and Switzerland.
