The Clifford Cup, an under-13 football tournament in memory of Sligo GAA stalwart Paddy Clifford, will be hosted by St Mary's GAA Club this Saturday, June 3rd, at Kent Park in Sligo.
Austin O'Callaghan spoke to members of the Clifford family about Paddy's Legacy - and also to Ian O'Seibhlinn, who's Secretary of St Mary's Bord na nÓg, about Saturday's tournament, which is attracting clubs from Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Galway, Mayo and Donegal.
As well as the host club, the participating teams this Saturday include: Glencar/Manorhamilton (Leitrim), Four Masters (Donegal), Corofin (Galway),
Castlebar Mitchells (Mayo), Ballina (Mayo), Clann na Gael (Roscommon) and Drumcliffe/Rosses Point (Sligo).
The event will take place in Kent Park and Mitchell Curley Park.
Games will at 11am with the shield final and cup final scheduled to throw in on Saturday afternoon at 3.15pm and 3.45pm respectively.
