Sligo junior football champions St Michael's suffered a heavy defeat in their first ever Connacht club final on Saturday afternoon in Castlebar.
They were totally outclassed by Kilmaine of Mayo on a final scoreline of 5-17 to 0-3.
St Michael's were under pressure from the throw-in and their cause wasn't helped in the opening half when centre half-back Dwayne Kelly received a red card.
Hugh McGowan's team failed to register a score in the first half as Kilmaine established a 1-10 to 0-0 interval lead.
It was more of the same in the second half-hour as the Mayo champions scored at will.
St Michael's did manage to register three scores but overall it was a final they will want to forget.
