Tourlestrane snatch a final place

Tourlestrane booked their place in the Homeland Sligo Senior Football Championship final after a dramatic 0-11 to 2-4 win over St Mary's at Markievicz Park on Sunday.

Trailing for the majority of the second half, the reigning champions conjured the final three scores of the game, with team captain James Leonard firing over the winning point in added time.

St Mary's - who hit the front after goals from Nathan Rooney and Stephen Coen from the penalty spot - took the game to Tourlestrane and trailed by 0-4 to 0-3 at half-time.

They looked like the winners during the second period and led by four points, 2-3 to 0-5, with ten minutes of normal time remaining.
