Defending champions Tourlestrane continued their confident start to the 2019 Belfry senior club football championship with a comprehensive 1-12 to 0-7 win against a depleted Tubbercurry side in Curry on Sunday evening.
The game was a repeat of last year's county final and the story of the contest was similar with the holders controlling proceedings for most of the hour. Tourlestrane led 1-7 to 0-4 at half-time and Tubber were unable to reduce the gap.
At Ransboro, Stephen Coen scored 1-7 as St Mary's collected their first points in Group 1 with a 3-14 to 1-10 win against St Molaise Gaels. The result means Molaise have lost all three group games to date, and are in danger of dropping into the relegation play-off.
