Tourlestrane's senior gaelic footballers won a record-breaking seventh consecutive Homeland Sligo senior club football championship title on Sunday as they came from two points down in added time to win by two, with the help of extra-time in an enthralling county final, on a final scoreline of Tourlestrane 0-15 St Mary's 0-13.
Trailing by 011 to 0-9 to a fine St Mary's side who appeared to have one hand on the Owen B. Hunt Cup with time almost up the champions somehow dug out two late points to force the final into extra-time.
There, they move two points in front early on and managed to keep that lead when John Gilmartin sounded the final whistle 20 heart-stopping moments later.
Listen back to how the Ocean FM Sport commentary team of Con O'Meara and Con O'Meara described the drama:
The Tourlestrane trio of Player of the Match Liam Gaughan, midfielder Stephen Henry and team manager Fergal O'Donnell joined Austin O'Callaghan live after the winners presentation ceremony.
