The U20 Connacht Football Championship was blown wide open last night after two thrilling games in Ballinamore and Tuam.
Champions Sligo were beaten by Galway, in a repeat of last year's final, by 2-16 - 2-12.
Sligo took the advantage in the early stages with a 0-04 - 0-02 lead, and strengthened that lead with a Conor Walsh goal after Galway had initally drawn level.
Galway then scored 1-05 without reply, and saw out the half with a 1-11 -1-06 lead.
The Tribesmen built on that with a further 1-01 in the second half.
Ronan Niland added a goal as Sligo pulled 1-02 back, but couldn't do enough as Galway held on for their second win of the campaign.

Elsewhere, goals from Ben Guckian, Jack Casey and Paul Moran led Leitrim to victory, with a 3-12 - 0-15 win over Mayo in Ballinamore.
Paul Honeyman top scored for Leitrim with 0-09, with Leitrim taking a foothold in the game after Guckian's first half goal saw them lead 1-06 - 0-08 at the break.
Quick-fire goals from Casey and Moran in the second half, as well as crucial scores from Honeyman and Barry McNulty, saw Leitrim close out a well-earned win.
