Donegal women's gaelic footballers lost their opening Lidl national football league division 1 game to Galway on Saturday afternoon in Tuam on a final scoreline of 0-11 to 0-6.
Maxi Curran's side, who were missing a host of their household names for this game such as Footballer of the Year Niamh McLaughlin, Geraldine McLaughlin and Karen Guthrie, trailed by 0-5 to 0-3 at the interval.
Killybegs' Susanne White's accurate free-taking (0-4) kept Donegal in touch and they got back on level terms early in the second-half.
Galway, who were missing their Kilkerrin-Clonberne All-Ireland club winning contigent were awarded a second-half penalty but the kick was driven over the bar.
