Sligo senior footballers revitalised their promotion prospects on Saturday afternoon with a 2-7 to 1-9 win over Wexford at windy Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Played in gale force wind conditions, Sligo played against the elememts but led at the interval thanks to two first-half goals from Darragh Cummins and Seán Carrabine.
Paul Taylor's side looked set for victory at they led by 2-6 to 0-8 as the match ticked into added time.
But a fisted Ben Brosnan goal for Wexford gave the home side fresh hope.
But Sligo's response as instant and Seán Carribine scored a vital point at the other end to help edge the black & white to victory by a single point.
