Sligo Rovers SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game against Waterford at the Showgrounds this Saturday has been called off - as Waterford have informed the FAI that they are unable to fulfil the fixture.
A member of the Blues first-team squad tested positive for Covid-19 last week. Waterford were forced to field their under-19s against Drogheda, and were beaten 7-0.
Rovers have been awarded a 3-0 walkover - and the matter will go to the FAI Disciplinary Unit.
Rovers next game is on Friday week, May 21st, against Longford Town at the Showgrounds.
Kick-off will be at 7:45pm.
Separately, Dundalk have apologised for a team bonding session in Belfast last weekend, calling it "a serious error of judgement."
The club has confirmed that the entire squad have since returned negative results from Covid-19 tests.
Dundalk's match against Finn Harps on Friday (Finn Park, 5:45pm) will go ahead as planned following consultation with the Health Service Executive (HSE).
