Reigning Sligo league and county champions Tourlestrane made a winning start to their 2022 Furey's Coaches senior football league Division 1 campaign on Sunday with a 2-14 to 0-15 points win over Shamrock Gaels at Tourlestrane GAA Park.
Newly promoted St Farnan's came from behind to beat Coolaney/Mullinabreena by two points (1-12 to 1-10) at Nace O'Dowd Park, while Tubbercurry were 1-16 to 0-12 winners over St Mary's at Kilcoyne Park.
