Work on Enniscrone Kilglass United FC's new full size UEFA-certified 4G all-weather pitch at Michael McGowan Park is set to begin in April.
The west Sligo club has secured €200,000 in Leader funding and is getting George Mullan's world renowned SIS Pitches company, SIS Pitches, to convert United existing grass pitch into a state-of-the-art 4G surface.
Additional money will come from the club's fundraising plan around the re-development.
There has been strong growth levels in membership at Enniscrone Kilglass Utd FC and this had, according to officials this put strain on the club's existing grass pitch.

It's hoped the project will be complete in time for the start of the 2023/2024 soccer season.
