17% rise in burglaries across Sligo & Leitrim

There's been a sharp increase in the number of burglaries across Sligo and Leitrim over the past year.

A total of 155 burglaries happened from April 2022 to March of this year in the two counties respectively.

This equates to a 17% rise in break-ins, according to new statistics from PhoneWatch.ie.
