EJ's Sligo All Stars put in a brave performance against a strong Neptune side in the President's Cup at the National Basketball arena in Tallaght.
Despite missing a couple of key players the All Stars pushed right to the end, but eventually fell short.
The All Stars lead after the first quarter 29 - 21, the second quarter saw some good play from both sides and the score board read 49-49 at the end of the second quarter.
Both teams swapped scores from there on and left a nervy ending for both huge traveling support !Timeouts played a key role in the closing quarter, and Neptune made the most of their opportunities.
