17 people are waiting for a bed at the hospital with 6 people waiting at Letterkenny University Hospital.
Yesterday, the Saolta Hospital Group which manages the main hospitals in the west and north west said the numbers in Sligo in particular were not easing.
They continue to urge people not to attend the Emergency Department there unless absolutely necessary and to contact their GP first.

Nationwide there are 290 patients on trollies.
